- Do I have to hire on Orca to use Team OS?
- No. Bring VAs you already work with via email invite. When you need someone new, browse the free directory, then use Add to Team OS from their profile or engagement workspace.
- What’s the difference between Orca and Command Center?
- Orca handles your Team OS subscription, invites, rates, and pay runs (money). Command Center is the day-to-day ops hub — clock hours, approvals, and tasks — opened with one click from Orca via secure SSO.
- How does time tracking and approval work?
- VAs clock time by client in Command Center. You open Approvals, review the queue, and approve (or reject) with one click. Approved hours stay audit-ready for pay runs on Orca.
- How do pay runs work, and what is the fee?
- You set each VA’s hourly rate, approve hours in Command Center, then start a pay run on Orca. Your card is charged for hours × rates plus a transparent processing fee (Bank ~1% + ACH · Card = Stripe + 1%). That fee is on you — VAs receive 100% of hours × rate to their Stripe Connect payout account. Team OS facilitates contractor payments between you and independent VAs. Orca is not an employer of record, does not withhold taxes, and does not provide benefits.
- Is marketplace trial escrow the same as Team OS pay?
- No. $30 trial / engagement escrow is the hire marketplace path. Team OS pay runs only use hours approved in Command Center at the rates you set — separate money rails.
- Is this the same as TaskBullet?
- No. Team OS is your isolated Command Center for Orca customers — separate from TaskBullet’s internal tools.
- Do invited VAs pay separately?
- No. The account owner subscribes; invited VAs access Command Center through Orca SSO at no extra seat fee. They do need to finish free payout setup before you can pay them.
- Is phone included?
- A work phone / softphone path exists in the product stack but is not sold publicly yet. Core Team OS is hours, approvals, tasks, and pay runs.
